The new generation of CO2 reactors
The sera flore CO2 active reactor is integrated into an existing water circuit (e.g. external filter), or it can alternatively be operated with a pump. The rotors ensure strong blending of CO2 with the aquarium water, allowing to dissolve several hundred CO2 bubbles per minute.
The holder included with the kit allows attaching the reactor inside or outside the aquarium (e.g. in the cabinet), depending on the existing installation. The material color (smoky gray) is effective against algae settlement. Easy to clean.
- sera flore CO2 active reactor 500 (up to 500 bubbles CO2/min): for aquariums ranging from 250 liters (66 US gal.) up to 600 liters (159 US gal.)
- sera flore CO2 active reactor 1000 (up to 1,000 bubbles CO2/min): for aquariums above 600 liters (159 US gal.) and densely planted aquariums
The sera flore CO2 pressure diffuser, made of high quality acrylic, combines functionality and design. The fine pored ceramic disc produces particularly fine CO2bubbles. It is easy to take out and clean or replace. With integrated bubble counter, suitable for aquariums up to 300 liters (79 US gal.).
The sera flore CO2 bubble counter allows easy counting of CO2 bubbles for monitoring carbon dioxide fertilization.
The fine nozzle within the bubble counter ensures clear separation of the CO2bubbles which can be counted quickly and precisely. Due its small size, the bubble counter can be placed unobtrusively.
Test kits to check the water quality measured
Measuring CO2 levels
CO2 test kits do exist however many people already have everything they need to measure CO2 levels. CO2 levels effect PH in a way that as more CO2 is added to the water the PH will drop. How much the PH will drop depends on the buffering capability of the water, another words your KH level. If you measure your KH and PH you can use the following table to see how much CO2 is in the water. Most of us have a fixed KH level so in most cases testing PH is the only thing you need to know.
